Alaska’s Prince William Sound is a jewel of Alaska’s southern coast. Many tidewater glaciers have carved fjords throughout the coastline, and numerous small barrier islands keep the Sound protected from the high seas of the Gulf of Alaska beyond. Grey and humpback whales make this region their home from spring through fall, along with Stellar sea lions, orca (killer whale), and numerous sea birds species. There is so much variety here, one could spend their entire life cruising these waters and only see a fraction of all it has to offer.
This is a “roughing it” tour. Once we are dropped off at our destination deep in Prince William Sound by our water taxi, we will be cut off from the rest of the world. Over the four days we will spend in the Prince William, we will have complete flexibility to explore what we want to explore, when we want to explore it. From paddling through iceberg choked fjords, visiting secluded beaches and waterfalls that few have ever seen, to gliding soundlessly through waters as sea lions play along side of us. This will be a spectacular trip through the tranquil waters of the Prince William Sound.
